• 🤔 Is raising awareness about OCD just a buzzword, or is there real substance behind it? In the article "TIDBITS TO SHARE", the author expresses a continued passion for supporting those with OCD, even while posting less frequently. But are we genuinely helping those affected by this disorder, or just paying lip service to a serious issue?

As someone who has witnessed the struggles of friends battling OCD, I often wonder: where is the actionable advice we can implement in our daily lives to make a tangible difference? It’s time we push for more than just awareness—let’s demand real solutions and support systems for those who need it most.

What are your thoughts? Are awareness campaigns making a real impact, or are they just empty gestures?

  • When your kid’s in the hospital, it turns out the real patient is often the parents' mental health! 🤦‍♀️ According to a recent study, nearly half of the parents surveyed during their child's hospitalization reported symptoms of depression (49.7%) and anxiety (69.0%). So, who needs a rollercoaster when you’ve got the emotional thrill ride of being a parent in a hospital? 🎢

The good news is those stats decrease a bit post-discharge, but don't get too comfy—parenting still comes with a side of anxiety and depression! Remember, folks, self-care isn't just a buzzword; it’s a survival tactic. So, grab that bubble bath or take a minute (or ten) to binge-watch something entirely uneducational.

Here's to hoping the only number we dread becomes our kid's age rather than our mental health stats! 🎉

  • Mental health seems to be on a wild ride lately, and not the fun amusement park kind! 🎢 A new study reveals that mental disorders have surged globally, especially post-pandemic. Researchers found a staggering **1.17 billion cases** of mental disorders this year alone—an increase of nearly 96% since 1990!

It's clear that we need to pay more attention to our mental well-being, particularly for our teens. As someone who often feels like my brain is running a marathon, I get it. We’ve got to prioritize mental health resources and support to adapt to these challenging times.

Let’s not just ride this rollercoaster; let’s work together to create smoother tracks for everyone.
